Travelers rank Dubai's worst hotels - What's all this fuss about?

One of the major news sources reported this recently, and to my surprises, everyone just tweets to their followers, other are major news sources too. Is it right? just to tweets whatever we hear and read?

Personally, Am not against anything, but for sure those ten hotels names mentioned in the report will be really pissed off. to learn that their hotel rates worse just based on reviews from "Trip advisor" (TA). Honest sometimes we tend to forget ourselves and to depend too much on some website that build their names out of other people reviews and says, instead of doing our own research too. Do you think I will care much of who ever one says in "Trip Advisor"? nope. I know TA done excellent job on their website and they help a lots of customers, but I guarantee you no one is perfect. I myself member in TA and I participate to reply some of travelers to Dubai in the forum though I'm not much active as other members, who are like full time job for them to reply to all never ending questions from travelers.

eviews can be based on so many facts and I do agree it will give some kind of picture about the hotel that is reviewed. But I'm against depending on one website and to categorize these 10 hotels in Dubai as a worse one without even consulting those hotels about those reviews about them.

Don't we all deserve equal rights and opportunities? As I'm traveler myself, I know what kind of hotel I will be stay as per budget, and my standard, and I believe each one of us do that. So some travelers used to stay 5 star hotels , and other years cant afford to stay in one, and also at the same time dont want to miss opportunity to visit Dubai, as result they will book less stars hotels. Do you expect to receive some services as they used to have before? No. Some travelers have issue with management or one person at the hotel and when go back home will start to write bad review about that hotel.

Sure I did experience myself bad services / delays / facilities at the hotel but is that will make worse hotel? In short the worse hotel for you is the 5 stars for others. Questions is before you send review to TP, ask yourself, did you stay in the right hotel, according to your budget and standard?

As for the news reporters, stop based your reports on one source only, how you will feel if your news company reported is the worse one based on reviews from one source. And also other media, please, do not tweets for the sake of tweet and getting more followers, review first what you tweet to your followers.

I'am not a professional writer but I hope you got my point. Please stick with your standards when you travel and research more, do not depend on one source.  You're also welcome to ask us too about Dubai and UAE in General for your next visit, but still research more and stick with the best info you have.

Have a wonderful day,

UAE cinema box office may reach low by 80% in Ramadan - You Know why?

In Any majority Muslim population country during Ramadan, most of activities are at the lowest this including in UAE, Dubai or any other cities in the country. You know why this happen in Ramadan?
Tip of  tallest tower in the world - The Burj Khalifa
I Will tell you in a moment, just want to mention that most of the Cinema operators in UAE from their experience of operating this business here, they know that in the month of Ramadan, they are less movie goers. And as result, hardly you can find new releases happening in this month. Big screen is one of the favorites meeting place in Dubai mostly by young generations and older alike.  There not less than 100 cinemas halls in Dubai follow by Abu Dhabi then other cities.

Each major shopping malls have more screens than the other. For example Reels Cinema in Dubai Mall have 22 screens, another major cinema operator in UAE is Grand Cinemas, they have more than 15 locations across the country, each one not more than 10 screens, and also another newly addition of cinemas is VOX cinemas also located in different malls in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

All am trying here is to give you a picture of the cinema business in UAE which become so famous, that there is no any new mall is complete without a movie screens, and in month of Ramadan business is slow.

From my experience as a Muslim, I call Ramadan is a month of Miracle. More people attend the prayers in the mosque than any other months, more helping hand, less crimes, less sins, less so many other activities that one can do in normal months.  As for movies, since we are kids, our parents teach us not to go to any movies in the month of Ramadan and not to listen to any music, and this become habit over time. Although no one will stop to go to the movie, even if Muslim, still you can go to the movie, but honest it feel different and no taste. I used to listen to the music while I drive and sometimes if there is a music play that I like, I tend to increase the volume.  But in Ramadan, I don't do that for 30 days.

But after Ramadan, and that is during the Eid Holidays, all cinemas are fully booked in all showing times in UAE for almost all three days during the Eid holidays and business booming again.  That is the time also they try to release new movies too.  I know some people never going to the movies only during the Eid Holidays.

I love Ramadan as after that it gives you sense of celebration that no one can ever feels until done or been there.  Just imagine after one month you will be able to eat during the day, that's why there is EID celebration, for me I will enjoy the music while I drive, and experience that feeling of watching a movie again in a big screen.

Have a Wonderful Day

Is UAE to be all year around high tourist destination?

High tourist season for the main Cities of UAE, Dubai and Abu Dhabi is from the month of October to March, that is the winter season for this part of the world, the highest temp estimate upto 27Degree and Lowest can reach 4degree at night in the desert areas.

The enjoyable months for outdoor activities, that is the time where live open concert are held outdoors, also outdoor activities, such as beach football competitions, most of Dubai and Abu Dhabi parks and beaches are full of visitors enjoying the weather and the beach. Most of the conferences and events are held too during this period. Such as Commercial events, air shows, Gitex, and many others. Is the Marathons season too. Such as Dubai Creek Striders, Dubai creek Half Marathon and full Dubai Marathon where runners all over the world attending in January. Also another famous yearly event in Ras Al Khaimah, RAK Half Marathon which is the best too in UAE. Abu Dhabi also host Half Marathon.

Hotels, Malls, water theme parks, attractions all become active and full of life. The most major event of all is Dubai Shopping Festival for the full month. Saying that, we know that low season is from April to September. Temp High upto 50's degree and very warm with high humidity, dusty wind, and a chance of Tropical storms in recent times. So who want to visit the country in such condition?

Well, just this year Dubai's hotels out performed the region hotels by high occupancy rates in June. In Abu Dhabi too.  The main reason is that, there is nothing impossible in UAE to make your stay in the country, safe, cool and enjoyable no matter the weather condition. Important here is safety, UAE is the safest place you can be in than in any other countries.

So in Summer, you can visit the shopping malls, which some of them are huge and you can even spend the whole day in one shopping mall, there are air conditioned souks in Dubai so you do not have to go to Spicy Souk or Mena Bazaar in Bur Dubai, those you may miss although you still can visit if you can bare the humidity, which at night or sunset not bad. But the souks we are talking about are such as those at Madinat Jumeirah and Souk Al Bahar in downtown Dubai near Burj Khalifa.   Also another major attraction is Dubai Summer Surprises and Abu Dhabi too have their own summer festival.
